4th of July in Las Vegas is a day / week to celebrate. Marking the United States Independence Day, this day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, picnics, and concerts.

Las Vegas loves celebration and the fourth of July is no exception. The party starts early in Vegas with hotel bars, casinos and pool parties are all decked out in patriotic decorations and many resorts compete to host the largest 4th of July fireworks show.

With 4th of July 2019 falling on a Thursday, expect the partying to start on Wednesday, July 3rd, with most of the parties, fireworks display and festivities taking place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Things you should know about 4th of July in Las Vegas

4th of July 2019 falls on a Thursday. Expect the parties to start on Wednesday and last through the weekend.

The Vegas Strip will be crowded all evening with thousands of tourists and local residents looking for a Fourth of July holiday celebration.

Everything will be open. I mean everything. shops, casinos, bars, restaurants, buffets, attractions. You name it, it will be open on Independence day.

July 4th is summer time in Las Vegas, so expect daily temperature to hit the 100 degrees mark. Dress accordingly and drink lots of water.

The evening performance in Las Vegas will be choreographed to a colorful mix of both contemporary and traditional patriotic music, set to illuminate the sky in red, white and blue.

This year, Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower's iconic, 1,149-foot-tower will light up Las Vegas Blvd this 4th of July with a fireworks display that will be visible throughout the Las Vegas Valley. The fireworks display will start at at 9:15 p.m.

A viewing party will be held at Elation rooftop pool offering guests an up-close experience to the fireworks. Doors open at 8 p.m.

Exclusively on Wednesday, July 4, Stratosphere will also offer 4th of July perks for locals. Earlier in the day, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., locals with valid Nevada ID will receive free observation tower admission, (a $25 per person value), and buy-one-get-one free admission to Crafted Buffet.

The Station Casinos "We Love Locals' July 4th Fireworks Blast" is set to go off on the east and west sides of town at Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson and Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa in Summerlin. The fireworks show last approximately nine-minutes.

This year Texas Station and Fiesta Rancho will bring back their "Battle of the Alamo" block party, as both neighboring casinos team up to give the community a stunning fireworks display. In addition to the fireworks display, expect family-friendly festivals at both properties' outdoor parking lots starting at 4 p.m. on July 4th.

Guests can enjoy a wide variety of activities at both properties including Live entertainment, dancing, art & craft vendors, Kids Fun Zone with bounce houses, a super slide, electronic animal rides, face painters and balloon artists. Also on hand will be food trucks and beverage stations.

The spectacular nine-minute "July 4th Fireworks Blast" will begin at approximately 9 p.m.

As part of Caesars Palace July 4th Celebration, on Saturday June 30, 2018 Caesars Palace Las Vegas, will stage an awe inspiring Independence Day fireworks extravaganza. The colossal 13½ minute fireworks display will be shot from the hotel's Julius Tower beginning around 9:20 p.m. The best views will be from the Las Vegas Strip at the front fountains of Caesars Palace.

Plaza Hotel & Casino in Downtown will host its Plaza Pool Nights Independence Day Pool Party on Saturday, June 30, 2018 on the rooftop pool. Partygoers 21 and older can enjoy the evening with live entertainment, drink specials, a hot dog eating competition and the festivities will culminate with a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the downtown skyline at approximately 10:45 p.m.

Celebrate the fourth of July weekend at The LINQ Promenade starting on Saturday, June 30, with festivities and family-friendly activities that will include a blue-themed LED parade starting at 8:15 p.m., followed by a live performance by The Saints of Las Vegas at the Fountain Stage

On Sunday, July 1, the festivities continues with a lively and colorful Fourth of July patriotic parade at noon to kick-off the festivities, complete with baton twirlers, drumline, flag performers, stilt walkers, b-boy dancers, hula hoop performers and patriotic cheerleaders. The parade starts at Las Vegas Blvd end of The LINQ Promenade and continuing down the promenade to the Fountain Stage. Throughout the day and into the night, the promenade will be energize with live music performers by The Saints of Las Vegas, and family friendly activities that include balloon artists, balloon toss contests and jugglers.

On Wednesday, July 4, expect more family-friendly activities and roaming entertainment such as stilt walkers, caricature artists, face painters, and hula hoop performers taking place throughout the day.

Enjoy food and drink specials at various restaurants and bars along The LINQ Promenade. Look for giveaways including hats, flags and beads.
