Things you should know about 4th of July in Las Vegas

4th of July 2018 falls on a Wednesday. Expect the parties to start on Friday and last through the 4th.
Please Note: Most resorts will have their fireworks show on Wednesday, July 4th, but a few have scheduled to have their Independence day fireworks on Saturday, June 30th. Check full schedule below.

The Vegas Strip will be crowded all evening with thousands of tourists and local residents looking for a Fourth of July holiday celebration.

Everything will be open. I mean everything. shops, casinos, bars, restaurants, buffets, attractions. You name it, it will be open on Independence day.

July 4th is summer time in Las Vegas, so expect daily temperature to hit the 100 degrees mark. Dress accordingly and drink lots of water.

This is one day you have to make dinner reservations. If you are going to any restaurant on the 4th of July either book ahead of time or be prepared to wait in line for a very long time.

July 4th fireworks generally start shortly after sunset so please be advised, due to the popularity of the fireworks show, it is best to start out early in order to get the best viewing location.

Riding the RTC bus is the recommended way to visit most of the 4th of July Las Vegas fireworks location. Buses across the region will operate on a Saturday schedule on the 4th of July.

As part of Caesars Palace July 4th Celebration, on Saturday June 30, 2018 Caesars Palace Las Vegas, will offer its Independence Day celebration with a colossal 13½ minute fireworks display. Fireworks will be shot from the hotel's Julius Tower beginning around 9:15 p.m. The best views will be from the Las Vegas Strip at the front fountains of Caesars Palace.

If you plan to drive, be warned the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Traffic Bureau, will be stepping up enforcement efforts as part of the departments "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign. Several sobriety check points will be conducted throughout the Las Vegas valley, starting Friday, June 30 and throughout the weekend. Please don't drink and drive.
