How does the Las Vegas Share Ride Shuttle work?
Most Las Vegas shuttle vans are 24 passenger buses
It's first come first serve service.
This is a Share-A-Ride service and you will be sharing the vehicle with up to 24 other travelers
Each shuttle van transport passengers to approximately 3 to 5 neighboring hotels
Travel time from McCarran Airport is between 30 to 45 minutes on average to your hotel
The Shuttle vans may not leave immediately as more passengers may need to be loaded. Once the van is full, the driver will drop off passengers in order of the closest destination point to the furthest. If your hotel is the furthest away from the airport, you will have to wait for the other share ride passengers to be dropped off at their respective hotels before arriving at your hotel. View a map of the Las Vegas strip hotels to give you an idea of the location of various hotels.
When heading back to the airport, the shuttle driver picks up passengers in order from the hotel furthest from the airport to the closest. Your pick-up time will depend on the relationship between your hotel and how many other share passengers will be picked up and their respective hotels. If you are the furthest away from the airport (downtown/Stratosphere), you will be picked up relatively early to your flight time and will have to visit up to 5 other hotels to pick up share passengers before arriving at the airport.
Always call ahead to make pickup arrangements.
Tips are greatly appreciated for excellent service. The customary gratuity for this type of service is 15-20%. Some exclusive rides already include tips.
FAQ
Question: What about a free hotel shuttle from McCarran Airport to my hotel on the Vegas Strip?
Answer: Unfortunately, there are no free airport shuttles to hotels on the Vegas strip. Clark County regulations prohibit individual hotels on the Vegas strip from operating private shuttles to and from the airport.
There are several commercial shuttles, however, that will take you to any of the Las Vegas hotels once you arrive. The shuttle companies listed above charge approximately the same for shuttling between the airport and the Strip and Downtown hotels, about $6.00 to the Strip hotels, about $8.00 to downtown. Prices are subject to change. Please call ahead of time.
You can find those shuttles located just outside of McCarran International Airport’s baggage claim area. Shuttle reservations are not needed for trips from McCarran to the hotels, but you will need to schedule a reservation for your return to the airport at the end of your stay. Shuttles operate seven days a week.
