Lots happen outdoors during the month of November in Las Vegas. As most of the Northern US States are experiencing their first snow fall of the winter, Las Vegas is still warm enough for light clothing during the daytime when temperatures are at their highest, but the evenings require a light jacket or sweater.
The biggest event in town this month is the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week, also known as the SEMA Show. This is a trade-only industry event and not open to the general public. However, avoiding Vegas during this event week might save you a few bucks because your hotel room will cost more and you will also have to deal with the crowds.
From the second week in November onwards is a good time to plan your trip. Remember November is Thanksgiving month. Although Thanksgiving is not celebrated in a big way like other holidays in Vegas, you will find the spirit of holidays in the air this time of year. This is a great time to Shop, Shop, Shoppe 'til you drop at many of the malls and esplanades, on and off the Strip. If you happen to spend Thanksgiving Day in town, remember Black Friday is the Friday that follows Thanksgiving Day and no one does Black Friday like Vegas.

Dates: November 27 - December 1, 2023November 11 (Veterans Day) is also National Public Lands Day and this means free entrance to public lands. Get free admission to Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead Recreation Area, and Death Valley National Park.
RTC is offering free rides for veterans on Veterans Day - November 11
Those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces may ride all 39 RTC transit routes for free from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Veterans Day. To ride, service members simply need to present the bus driver with their military or veterans identification card from any state when boarding.
The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, offers FREE museum admission for Nevada residents and buy-one, get-one admission for non-residents to celebrate Kefauver Day, which commemorates the U.S. Senate investigative hearing into organized crime that took place in the Museum’s courtroom on Nov. 15, 1950.
