In-N-Out Burger is slightly over 1/2 mile walk from Las Vegas Blvd. and Tropicana Ave. It's not a far walking distance but here are the reasons you might consider taking a bus or taxi, instead of walking.
It might seem like a short walk, but it is a walk over the Interstate 15
It can be an extreme dangerous walk. The narrow sidewalk on Tropicana Ave. is a few feet from the street with cars speeding by at 50 mph
You definitely do not want to walk this path at night.

Besides driving, taking the Bus is the recommended way to get from the Las Vegas Strip to In-N-Out Burger on Dean Martin Dr.
