Las Vegas Marriage Bureau

The Las Vegas Marriage Bureau has seen many famous couples come to tie the knot. Elvis and Priscilla Presley top the list of the very notable pairs. There are so many people planning to get married in Las Vegas that this bureau is kept busy for 14 hours daily, even on holidays.

Overall, the Las Vegas Marriage License Bureau issues about 80,000 marriage licenses a year.

The most popular wedding days are New Year's Eve and Valentine’s Day. Sequential dates are also very popular, like 08/08/08. 07/07/07 was a big day in Las Vegas and considered a very lucky day to get married.

Whenever you are ready to get married, you will need a Las Vegas marriage license. The fee for this is $77, payable by cash, cashier's check, money order, or credit card. You will need to provide documents that prove your age.

The Marriage License Bureau is located in downtown Las Vegas approximately 3 blocks south of the Fremont Street Experience at the Regional Justice Center at the NW corner of Clark Ave. and Third Center.

Driving
Take I-15 North to Exit 41A / Charleston Blvd. East onto Charleston Blvd. Bear left on S. Casino Center Blvd. Turn right on Clark Avenue. Metered parking is available on the block, just south of the Regional Justice Center, as well as on the east side of the building along Third Street.

How do I get to the Las Vegas Marriage Bureau by Bus?
Take Bus 301, the Deuce on The Strip or Strip & Downtown bus (Northbound) towards Downtown
Get off at Casino Center Blvd. and Garces Ave
Walk (5 minutes) to 201 Clark Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89101

Couples can purchase a license and say their vows at the Office of the Civil Marriages or buy a license and get married elsewhere. Once a license is obtained, if can be used for up to one year.

Beware of the chapel guys, try to run past them, if you can. Before and after we went into the bureau, as we were walking down the sidewalk, we had like 15 or 20 guys approach us with flyers from their chapels. It's kinda funny, they'd like stand in line until the guy ahead was done telling us about the packages. Some of them didn't speak english, and a couple of them drew us pictures of their "ceremonies" lol --

Important Note

The Marriage License Bureau is prohibited from issuing a new license to couples that are currently married. Couples may renew their wedding vows at a wedding chapel or church. Churches or chapels may require you bring a copy of your marriage certificate for proof of marriage before performing the renewal ceremony.

Between July 4, 2007 and July 7, 2007, a total of 4,333 marriage licenses were issued to couples who hoped to marry on 7-7-7 in Clark County.

Between October 7, 2010 and October 10, 2010, a total of 3,090 marriage licenses were issued to couples who hoped to marry on 10-10-10 in Clark County.

Between November 9, 2011 and November 11, 2011, a total of 3,024 marriage licenses were issued to couples who hoped to marry on 11-11-11 in Clark County.
