The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week in Las Vegas (AAIW), popularly known as the SEMA Show, is a trade-only industry event that takes place in Las Vegas each year.
Organized by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), this trade-only event draws more than 70,000 quality domestic and international buyers each year. Sometimes referred to as the Car Show Las Vegas 2020, the SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center is the world's leading automotive trade event bringing together manufacturers and buyers in every segment of the automotive industry, from hot rods and off-roads, to mobile electronics and collision repair. The SEMA Show also provides value to participants through educational seminars, networking events, hands on workshops and more.
The 2019 SEMA Show featured more than 2,400 exhibiting manufacturing companies, 3,600 media representatives and hosted more than 162,000 individuals. The upcoming 2020 SEMA Show is expected to exceed those numbers. The SEMA Car Show is a trade-only event and not open to consumers or the general public but only to qualified individuals employed within the automotive aftermarket industry.

SEMA Show is a trade-only industry event and not open to consumers or the general public.
Only qualified individuals employed within the automotive aftermarket industry are approved to receive a badge to enter the exhibit hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
You will be required to provide documentation to prove you currently work in the Specialty Equipment Aftermarket industry. (This is required whether you register online or in person at the SEMA Show.)
You or the company you are employed by does not have to be a SEMA member in order for you to attend the SEMA Show
If you do not qualify to attend the SEMA Show, you can enjoy SEMA Cruise or attend SEMA Ignited, the official SEMA Show after party where SEMA Show vehicles will be featured on Friday night upon conclusion of the Show (see details below)

Buyers from the US who register online on or before October 9, 2020, save more than $50 and have their badges mailed to them in advance of the Show. If you register after October 9, 2020, (i.e. you didn't receive your badge in the mail) you must print out and bring your barcode confirmation to Express Registration on-site at the Westgate Hotel adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center (see floor map below). Upon presenting an official, government-issued photo ID that matches the name in your registration record, your badge will be printed out.
Note: Lost or forgotten badges reprinted onsite will cost you $100 (1x maximum)
The Attendee category is for retailers, installers, distributors, and buyers who plan to meet with exhibitors at the 2020 SEMA Show. Attendees should register using the "attendee" link. Applicants in this category may be required to submit proof of employment in the industry.
The Exhibitor category is for company personnel working in the booths of exhibiting companies. To receive your exhibitor badge, individuals will need to have the unique password and user id that was provided, via email, to the primary (or key) contact at the exhibiting company. Alternatively, the primary contact may register the entire staff at one time.
The Media category is for journalists covering the SEMA Show. Journalists can register for a complimentary media credentials using the "media" link. Applicants may need to supply proof of media affiliation, such as bylined articles or business cards. All approved media will be able to pick up their credentials onsite in the SEMA Show Media Center

SEMA Show is not just a Las Vegas car show but a show where the hottest, newest automotive products debut. With more than 3,000 new and featured products this year, understanding how to work the Show floor is important. Follow the steps below for the fastest and most efficient way to locate and contact the exhibitors who manufacture the products you're interested in.
Step 1: Head on over to the New Products Showcase
The New Products Showcase, located in the Sky Bridge at the Las Vegas Convention Center (between Central and South Hall). See SEMA Show map above. There is a shuttle stop very close to the showcase.
Tip: The New Products Showcase opens an hour before the Show starts and closes an hour after the Show close. Take advantage of those extra hours.
Step 2: Get one of the FREE Scanners
Find one of the "Free Scanner Pickup" booths located around the New Products Showcase and grab a scanner. Walk around and browse the more than 3,000 products in the showcase. Scan all the products barcode you're interested in.
Step 3: Get a print out of all the products you scanned
Return your scanner to the "Scanner Return" desk to instantly get a print out of all the products you scanned! This print-out will contain key information such as the product's description, image, exhibitor's booth number and how to locate and contact the exhibitors who manufacture the products.
Step 4: Doing the leg walk
Now it's time to track down those exhibiting companies on the show floor and get some face-to-face time to learn more about the products you're interested in. The SEMA Show mobile app makes this step easy by offering directions from one location to another, all at your finger tips or simply pickup the SEMA Show Pocket Guide available at any of the many information kiosks.
Tip: The newest exhibitors can be found at the Westgate, Racing Annex, Upper South Hall and Performance Pavilion.

The SEMA Battle of the Builders competition involves more than 300 competitors vying for the title of the Ultimate Vehicle Builder. SEMA Battle of the Builders competition also includes an the Young Guns Category for builders under 27 years of age.
The Selection Process:
Judges walk the SEMA Show floor to review individual builds before selecting the Top 40 finalists in the competition. The Top 40 finalists are announced on the opening day of the SEMA Show. Ten builds will represent the following categories
Young Guns.(27 yrs & under)
The judges then narrow the finalists down to the Top 12, regardless of the category. The builders of the Top 12 finalists then become the judges, and select from amongst themselves who will be named the Top Builder of the SEMA Battle of the Builders.
The crowd favorite annual SEMA Cruise is back. SEMA Cruise is the only part of the Show that is open and FREE to consumers. SEMA Cruise is a parade of hundreds of cars and trucks that dominated the 2020 SEMA Show.
Watch as featured vehicles roar to life and drive out of the Las Vegas Convention Center towards SEMA Ignited. This parade of rolling art is a sight to see and offers exhibitors, builders, Vegas locals and car enthusiasts one last look at the customized vehicles that dominated this years SEMA Show.

SEMA Ignited is the official SEMA Show after party, where consumers and anyone who did not qualify to attend the SEMA Show are invited to mingle with the industry. On display will be hundreds of customized SEMA Show vehicles, formula drift demonstrations and top iconic builds. Also expect Live music, food, entertainment, celebrities and more.
Filming for a nationwide TV special to air on the Velocity Network will also be taking place, as the winner of the SEMA Battle of the Builders competition is announced.
