Business casual and dressing comfortably with comfortable shoes is key to an enjoyable SHOT Show. Gearing up in tactical clothing or suit and tie is a No, No. Grab a light jacket as you head to the show. Besides getting a bit cold on the show floor, January in Las Vegas can get chilly in the evenings.
Bring your most comfortable shoes - There is literally 12.5 miles of aisles at the SHOT Show floor. You will easily find yourself doing at least 20,000 steps a day visiting booths. Wearing comfortable shoes, not new ones or heels is critical. Comfortable shoes will give you a chance to see most of what the show has to offer.
Download the SHOT Show Mobile App. The app will allow you to get Up-to-the-minute information, search the exhibitor directory, quickly navigate the show floor, create your Show schedule by choosing sessions you want to attend and speakers you want to hear, see the show schedule, set appointments, and get up-to-the-minute information on SHOT Show.

A good place to start is the SHOT Show eXtra Pavilion which will feature hundreds of first-time exhibitors, from up-and-coming manufacturers to seasoned leading manufacturers. Expect to see the latest in clothing, footwear, cameras, tents, and other gear that today's active hunters and outdoors enthusiasts demand.
Location: SHOT Show eXtra Pavilion is located at Caesars Forum (next to New Product Center)
SHOT Show is a great place to network with others. Everyone is at the SHOT Show, and there is so much opportunity for networking. Many companies host social hours, after-parties, or other events that give them face-to-face time with prospective clients. Exchange business cards as you network, so that you can keep in touch after the show.
Like any veteran visitor will tell you, no one comes to Vegas to spend time in their hotel room. Las Vegas is a premier hospitality destination with tons of things to do and see. Take a walk along the Strip, see a show or simply pig-out at a buffet. One or two of those is vital to having a positive show experience. Just remember, What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas.
Plan to make room in your luggage for lots of freebies and promotional items to take back home. However when collecting promotional items on the show floor, remember certain items are prohibited in your luggage and carry-on bags. To find out what items are prohibited, use TSA's "Can I Bring?" site to find out what you are allowed to travel with.
By Day 4 you'll discover you have collected a lot of business cards and promotional items. Your work actually starts when you get back home. Follow up right away with your new connections and potential business partners to continue the momentum from the show while all the information is fresh in your head. Do not wait a month or two to make contact.
